Williams, Larry Eugene
Larry Eugene Williams, 56, of Salem passed away Dec. 6 2011. He was born in Roanoke on January 19, 1955, the son of the late Marvin and Esther Roop Williams. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Williams Jr. Larry’s contagious humor and desire to help others will be sadly missed.
He was a painter for Simmons Painting Company. He is survived by four sisters: Cathy Woodring and husband, Steve, Peggy Smith and Denny, Jo Ann Thompson and husband, Randy and Tina Creighton and husband, Bill; girlfriend and life partner, Benjie Tubbs; four nieces, two great-nieces; two great-nephews; loving canine companion, Wilson, and many special friends.
Memorial services will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service until 7 p.m.
