Vinton Police arrest Goodview man on multiple charges
VINTON—Vinton Police Chief Ben Cook has released the following information concerning an incident of breaking and entering, abduction, and firearms violations on Washington Avenue in Vinton:
On April 10, 2012, at 2:02 p.m., the Roanoke County Emergency Communications Center received a call from a female at 911 Washington Avenue in the Town of Vinton, reporting that a male was on scene and shooting her daughter. Vinton Police responded and found a white male, later identified as Charles Edward Glover, outside the resident where he was taken into custody without incident. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Charges have been placed against Charles Edward Glover, 43, of Goodview, for breaking and entering with a deadly weapon, abduction, violation of a protective order, violating a protective order while armed with a weapon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and felon in possession of a firearm. The accused is being held without bond and is being transported to the Roanoke County Jail in Salem.
