Vinton experiencing some flooding
Vinton experiencing flooding – Last night’s rain has swollen several creeks and created minor to moderate flooding problems in Vinton.
Town officials are advising motorists to avoid the Walnut Ave. and Wide Ave. corridor this morning due to flooding across teh ride at Walnute Ave. and 5th Street in the town and the bridge at Wise Ave. and Walnut Ave. at the Roanoke City and town line near Indian Village.
A flood warning has been issued for the Town of Vinton by the National Weather Service.
