The semifinalists to through two more evaluation levels. Six finalists will be notified in January. One teacher from the secondary category will be chosen for the $25,000 award, one from the elementary category, and four runners-up will receive $1,000 each. The McGlothlin Awards will be announced at Radford in April 2013.
Of the award money to the selected teachers, $10,000 must be used for international travel to broaden the winners’ experience and enrich their classroom teaching.
