The Moody Blues rocks Salem Civic Center
SALEM – The Moody Blues rocked an appreciative crowd made up primarily of fans of the same age as the British rock band from the 1960s on March 31 at the Salem Civic Center.
Original band lead vocal, Justin Hayward on vocal and bass, John Lodge and drummer, Graeme Edge performed their popular hits including “Tuesday Afternoon,” “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere,” “Your Wildest Dreams” and “Nights in White Satin.”

Justin Hayward wrote “Nights in White Satin” over 45 years ago, when he was just 19. One of the silver-haired concert goers who wasn’t familiar with the band noted, “That’s the best concert I’ve heard at the Salem Civic Center.”
The Moody Blues demonstrated why the band has sold more than 70 million albums around the world and has 14 platinum and gold discs.
The show at the civic center was a combination of spectacular music and visual effects.
