<p>Louise Leftwich Walker, 81, of Salem, died December 21, 2009.  A longtime resident of Salem, she graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke in 1946 and retired from Lewis-Gale Medical Center.  She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Walker; sisters Margaret Cromer, Dorothy Rice and Elizabeth Saunders; and brothers Kyle, James and Rudolph. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Zimmers of Craig; sons and daughters-in-law Michael Walker and Becky Stultz of Sevierville, Tenn. and Jeffrey and Doray Walker of Culpepper; grandsons Steven Zimmers, Matthew Zimmers, Shane Walker, Joshua Walker and Jeremiah Walker; great-grandchildren Emily, Amber and Christopher; sister Rebecca Ingram, Johnson City, Tenn.; brother Ralph Leftwich, Roanoke; several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Deborah Horn. A graveside service was held at Sherwood Memorial Park on December 24. Donations may be made in her name to the Rescue Mission or the Salvation Army.</p>
