Stevens, Susan Willard

Susan Willard Stevens, 61, of Salem died February 27, 2010. Sue graduated from Andrew Lewis High School in 1967. She earned her wings as a stewardess and worked for Piedmont, then RJR Nabisco and MCI. Survivors include her mother, Opal Willard; brother Denton Willard; sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Bill Fox; nieces and spouses Kelsey and Dan Yardley, Alison and Brad Yardley and Abby Willard; nephews and spouses Nick and Adria Fox and Matt Willard; aunt Irene Baker; half brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Nancy Willard; great-nephews Mason Stavola and Wynn Yardley; uncle and aunt Don and Carolyn Helton; and aunt Evelyn Mathias. Funeral services were conducted March 4 at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Dan Netting officiating. Interment followed in Sherwood Memorial Park. Memorials in her name may be made to either First Christian Church Choir, First Christian Church Franke Memorial Fund or the Salem Animal Shelter.
