Snow – at last!
CRAIG COUNTY – The first real snowfall of 2012 fell Feb. 19, blanketing Craig County and surrounding areas with between 5 and 12 inches.
It gave Craig school children a day off from school to build snowmen and go sleigh riding and a chance for adults to try out Christmas cameras on snowy scenes.

Because temperatures the day before had been around 60 degrees and the day after was in the 40s and up, snow melted off trees almost immediately and disappeared from most roads.
