SALEM – Now that Arielle Rosmarino of Glenvar has won the title of National American Miss Virginia Teen, she’s going to Disneyland.
Rosmarino will be in California to compete for the title of National American Teen in November.

Arielle Rosmarino of Glenvar, the newly crowned National American Miss Virginia Teen, will represent the state in the national teen competition in Anaheim, Calif., in November.
She won her latest title in Reston at the pageant July 31-Aug. 2 in Reston. Rosmarino also won the Congeniality, Volunteer Service and SpokesModel titles. She was runner up for Best Thank You Note, Best Resume and Most Promising Model; and second-runner up for Top Model and Photogenic, as well as third-runner up for Casual Wear Modeling.
As the teen queen, Rosmarino gets $1,000 in cash, an official state crown, banner, trophy and roses; her entry fees paid for the national pageant in California, a VIP day for her and a family member at Disneyland, and a modeling scholarship.
As a state pageant winner she will represent Virginia during the year at various events, and will return to next year’s state competition to crown her successor.
Rosmarino graduated from Glenvar High School and is a sophomore at Radford University.
Her grandfather pointed out Rosmarino was a wrestler while at Glenvar, “and now she’s National American Miss Virginia Teen.”
This summer she has worked at Camp Roanoke as well as being a Diamond Girl for the Salem Red Sox baseball games.
She will compete for the National American Miss Teen title in November in Anaheim, Calif.
Rosmarino is no stranger to competitions, particularly when they involve scholarship money for her college education. She was the Roanoke Valley winner of a bubble-gum blowing competition, which earned her a paid trip to New York City and a spot on the “Today” show.
