Salem Police investigate shots fired at apartments

SALEM – Salem Police are investigating shots fired into an apartment building in Salem shortly after midnight, on July 28.

Police said when they responded to Salem Commons to answer a call of shots fired, they found three apartments in one building in the 1700 block of Salem Commons Lane had been struck by gunfire.

No one inside the two occupied apartments was injured, they said, and the third apartment was vacant. No one came forward who witnessed the shooting, police said.
