Roanoke County Police find meth lab near Vinton

Roanoke County Police discovered what they confirmed is a meth lab in the 2800 block of Riverview Road near Vinton Friday morning, July 30.

The police were responding to an unrelated investigation with Social Services Friday morning at 9:14 a.m.

At the time, officers observed evidence consistent with a met lab operation. The Virginia State Police and DEA responded and confirmed the existence of an active meth lab inside of a residence.

The Clandestine Lab Team disassembled the lab and cleanup was completed Friday afternoon.

Police said the case is still under investigation and there are no charges at this time.Couny
