Debby and Jeff Powell of Salem are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Diane, to William Patrick Lloyd.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Josephine Powell and the late Lawrence Powell of Salem and the late Beatrice and Bill Matney of Christiansburg. Kimberly is a 2002 graduate of Salem High School and 2006 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a fine arts degree in Interior Design. She currently works for Commonwealth Architects in Richmond.

The groom-to-be is the son of Penny and Rick Lloyd of Roanoke County. Patrick is the grandson of Dee Lloyd and the late Dean Lloyd of Roanoke and Mabelle and Smithey King of Roanoke. Patrick is a 2003 graduate of North Cross School in Roanoke and a 2007 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Patrick is in commercial mechanical equipment sales with ACES Inc. in Richmond.
The couple will marry over Labor Day weekend on Sept. 4 in Richmond, where they currently reside.
