Porterfield, Norene V. Duncan
Norene V. Duncan Porterfield, formerly of Craig County, entered into rest on Jan. 27, 2012, at the age of 79 in Marion, N.Y. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Brenda DeConinck; brother Ralph Duncan, sister Estelle King.
Survivors include her daughters, Patsy (Henry) VanKoevering of Newark, Merita (Stephen) DeConinck of Williamson, Connie (Daryl) Ellsworth of Palmyra, Lois Porterfield of Waterloo, son James Porterfield of Marion, sisters Margaret (Eugene) Almekinder of Lyons and Helen Koon of Salem; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service was held on Jan. 31 at Stevens Funeral Home in Marion. Donations may be made to Wayne ARC, 150 Vanburen St., Newark, NY 14513.
