Polhill, Joseph Barlow
Joseph Barlow Polhill, 75, of Elliston and formerly of Dunnellon, Fla., died January 24, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalinde Mattmann Polhill; and a sister, June Gomberg. Mr. Polhill was a retired salesman from Tektronix, a US Army veteran and was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include daughters Deborah Saunders and Diana Bonofiglio and husband, Ron; son James Polhill; sister Linda Benton; and grandchildren Jesse Noell and Jennifer Noell. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church with Monsignor Thomas G. Miller officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrew’s Diocesan Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Polhill’s name to Good Samaritan Hospice New River Valley office, American Lung Association or to O.W.L.S. Ocala, Fla. The Polhill family is being served by John M. Oakey and Son, Salem.
