New thrift store opening tomorrow
VINTON - Located at 301 South Pollard Street in Vinton, Charity Cottage Thrift Store is busy getting ready for their grand opening, to be held on Friday September 9 at 12:30pm.
The open house event will include refreshments, crafts tables, informational booths representing the local nonprofits which will benefit from the Charity Cottage Thrift Store, and visual presentations regarding The Advancement Foundation’s mission and vision for this valuable store and how it will aid in revitalizing the surrounding community.

The Charity Cottage Thrift Store will be operated by The Advancement Foundation to provide “earned income” funding for multiple nonprofits, including Project Access, The West End Center for Youth, and Manna Ministries, while also providing skill-training and community service opportunities for the underprivileged and disabled. The Charity Cottage Thrift Store will actively engage community leaders, civic organizations, local schools and churches in various ways in order to involve the entire community in the social change movement.
