Lee, John M.
John M. Lee, 67, of New Castle went to be with the Lord on Aug. 5, 20ll. John was born on January 14, 1944, son of the late Ramey and Flora Lee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Bruce Lee, Bill Lee, Lucian Lee and Jim Lee; sisters Kathryn Lee Webber and Geraldine Lee Johnson. John was a life-long resident of Craig County, and he dedicated his life to helping others.
John Lee
He was a sergeant in the United States Army, worked at Norfolk Southern (N&W Railroad) for 36 years, and served on the Craig County Board of Supervisors for 20 years. He was a dedicated blood donor to the Red Cross, where he gave over 31 gallons.
He was an elder and life-long member of Mountain View Christian Church and past Master of Mountain Lodge AF&AM No.140.
He is survived by the love of his life, wife Linda W. Lee, and devoted son Jonathan E. Lee; brother William A. Lee Jr. (Susie Lee) and sister Pat Lee Childers; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Aug. 8 at Paitsel Funeral Home with Jim Morris officiating. Interment followed at the Lee Family Cemetery.
