Helms-Bratton engagement
Robert and Kimberly Glass of Ruckersville and Jack Helms of Roanoke announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Ashton Helms, of Roanoke to Timothy Andrew Bratton of Salem. He is the son of Jerry and Carin Bratton of Salem.
Ashton is the granddaughter of Jacque and Elwood Stone of Bassett and the late Jack Helms Sr. and Avis Weaver Pringle.

She is a 2006 graduate of Cave Spring High School and attends Virginia Western Community College. She is a cosmetologist at Classic Image Day Spa in Roanoke.
Drew is the grandson of Dale Craighead of Goodview and the late Ruth Ann Craighead, and the late Wallace and Helen Bratton of Roanoke.
He is a 2003 graduate of Salem High School and a 2005 graduate of Virginia Western Community College. He is a mechanical engineer at Plastics One in Roanoke.
A May 1 wedding is planned in Bassett.
