Hannah, Dennis Martin
Dennis Martin Hannah, 77 of Salem passed away Nov. 23, 2011. He was born Jan. 9, 1934, in Botetourt County. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Henry Hannah and Kathleen Hazel (Tucker) King, brothers Kenneth Hannah and Lewis (Bee) Hannah.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years and best friend, Janice Blankenship Hannah; daughters Darlene Adams (David) and Becky Martin (Brian); grandchildren Stacey Crowder (CJ), Rachel Ward, Whitney Dudding, and Bradley Martin; sister-in-laws Genevieve Hannah, Gayle Hannah, and Rita Springer; brother-in-law Kenneth Blankenship (Pauline); and a special friend and cow buddy Greg Duffy and family.
He retired from General Electric after 33 years. He enjoyed farming & gardening and tending to his farm animals.
The family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice for all their support and services during this difficult time.
The funeral service was conducted Nov. 26 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home in Salem with Rev. Roger Matthews officiating. Interment followed at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial gifts may be made to Mountain Pass Baptist Church, 2975 Catawba Valley Drive, Salem, VA 24153.
