Free shredding postponed because of weather

By Submitted

SALEM – Free shredding of documents that was to be outside at the Salem Civic Center tomorrow, April 16, has been postponed because of forecasts of heavy rain and thunder storms.

The new date will be Saturday, April 30, in the back parking lot of the Salem Baseball Stadium, from 8-11 a.m.  It will be sponsored by the Better Business Bureau Serving Western Virginia, and other businesses and organizations.

Individuals and businesses may bring up to three boxes or bags of documents to be shredded. Paper with staples, paper clips, CDs and floppy disks will be accepted.

BBB staff will be present to provide advice and tips to protect businesses and individuals from identity theft.
