Farm Expo provides goat cart rides, horse and livestock show
NEW CASTLE – At the Farm Expo presented by Young Farmers and the Craig County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee, Cathy Sizer and her Nubian goat provided goat cart rides for kids.
Although the rides were free, tips were welcomed, and 50 percent was donated to the Craig County Schools Agriculture Building Project supported by Craig County Farm Bureau.

The Farm Expo at the Fairgrounds in New Castle on May 19 also included a horse show and livestock show, as well as farm equipment on display, food for sale and locally produced crafts.
At the horse show, first-time participant Jenna Bostic took home a first-lace ribbon, three second-place ribons and one ribbon for first place.
She entered the competition with Pat Neff’s pony, Snorkels. Jenna has been taking riding lessons for several months at Neff’s farm on Johns Creek.
Among the other ribbon winners were Meghan Mangels, blue, and Alya Ratliff, red. Laurel Pollock rode a paint named Lakota in the horse show.
