Crumpacker-Hutchison

The wedding of Kaili Tara Cheraye Switzer Hutchison and Mathew Allen Crumpacker was officiated in a double ring ceremony on June 25 at the First United Methodist Church in Salem. The Rev. Stephen Bray and the Rev. Jeffrey Dorsey officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dexter Hutchison of Salem. Her maternal grandparents are Vivian Switzer of New Castle and the late Robert Ray Switzer. Paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Paris Hamilton Hutchison Sr.

The groom is the son of Linda Sue Crumpacker of Roanoke and the late Tony Allen Crumpacker. The groom’s maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Luther McGhee. Paternal grandparents are Mary Francis Crumpacker and the late Samuel Allen Crumpacker.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her matron of honor was Stephanie McCloud of Fort Mill, S.C. Bridesmaids were Laura Peters, Roanoke; Katherine Siever, Elliston; Katherine Guidry, Salem; Stacie Maguire, Roanoke; Dr. Amanda Brewer, Pennsylvania, and Amanda Bishop, Salem. Lydia Siever was flower girl.

The bridesmaids wore formal tea-green silk organza one-shouldered dresses with cascading fabric flower detail on the strap and bodice designed by Melissa Sweet.

The bride wore a custom ivory silk organza gown by Melissa Sweet embellished with three dimensional cut silk flowers, ribbons, and Swarovski crystals. The cathedral length veil matched the embellishment of the gown.

The bride’s attendants were Ellen Frank of Fincastle; Lindsey Parker of Roanoke; Leslie Reynolds of Salem and Ashley McFarlane of Maryland.

Acolytes were Bronwyn Foley and Leah McMahan of Salem. Grant Foley of Salem was the crucifer.

The groom’s best man was Justin Wilkinson, friend of the groom, from Remington, Va. Groomsmen were William Wyche, Arlington; Jesse Phillips, Roanoke; Shaun Stewart, Roanoke; Caleb Rossi, Herndon; Thomas Maguire, Roanoke, and Ryan Hutchison of Salem.

A reception was held in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church. A family dinner was held later in the evening in the Crystal Ballroom at Hotel Roanoke.

The bride received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Policy from Roanoke College in 2005 and is an environmental scientist for ECS Mid-Atlantic.

The groom received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Radford University followed by a Master of Arts in Film and Literature from Hollins University in the spring of 2011. He is a Wealth Management Accounts Representative of Wells Fargo N.A. in Roanoke.

After the honeymoon the newlyweds will reside in Roanoke.
