Couch, Joan D.
Joan D. Couch, 69, of Elliston died December 13, 2009. She was preceded in death by a brother, Cletus Perdue. Mrs. Couch worked for Kroger and was a member of Fort Lewis Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Mark Couch; brother and sister-in-law Quince and Dee Perdue; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 16 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem, with the Rev. Leonard Southern officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Donations in Mrs. Couch’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society. 540-389-5441
