Arnold – Gillespie
Natalie E. Gillespie and David F. Arnold were married in a double-ring ceremony on June 11 at the Gillespie Home Place in Tazewell County.
Christy Bonner Fisher of Chattanooga, Tenn., minister and friend of the bride, officiated the ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father, William Gillespie.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Elizabeth Gillespie of Baltimore, Md. Bridesmaids were Rachael Bales of Abingdon, Elizabeth Boothe of Roanoke, Amanda Collins of Roanoke, Jaclyn Dickens of Bristol and sister of the groom Frances Wymbs of Seattle, Wash.
Flower girls were nieces of the bride, Lilly Gillespie of Basalt, Colo., and Fayza Hamilton of Baltimore, Md. Nephew of the bride Arbor Gillespie of Basalt, Colo., was the ring bearer.
The best man was the groom’s father, James Arnold of Salem. Groomsmen were the brother of the bride, Adam Gillespie of Basalt, Colo.; Joshua May of Roanoke, Cory Moses of Glenvar, Paul Powell Jr. of Roanoke, Waid Powell of Salem and the groom’s brother-in-law, Brian Wymbs of Seattle, Wash.
Music was provided by Patricia McPherson of Tazewell and Daniel McPherson of Blacksburg.
Jessica Deal of Meadowview directed the ceremony. Others assisting with the wedding were Sarah Bundy of Charlotte, N.C.; Casey Carico of Independence, Jennifer Maiden of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; Amelia Byrd of Hartsville, S.C., Laura Powell of Salem, Kathy Douglas of Blacksburg and Lindsay Ray of Kingsport, Tenn.
The bride is the daughter of Lucinda and William Gillespie of Tazewell. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Philip T. Lilly Jr. of Bluefield, W. Va., and the great-niece of Mrs. Gordon Madge and Robert Hale of Richmond. She is a critical care nurse at the Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.
The groom is the son of James and Mary Coleman Arnold of Salem. He is the nephew of Joseph Arnold of Mechanicsville and John Arnold of Camden, Maine. He is a Geographic Information Systems Specialist with Marshall Miller and Associates of Bluefield and Blacksburg.
After a honeymoon on islands in the North Atlantic Sea, the couple will reside in Blacksburg.
