Armed man robs Eagle Rock bank

Botetourt Sheriff’s deputies were responding to a confirmed bank robbery in Eagle Rock just before 1 p.m. today.

According to dispatchers, no one was injured at Bank of Botetourt’s Eagle Rock branch.

The suspect, according to dispatch reports, was thought to be a male and was armed. The suspect was dressed in all black, with a black hood and sweater.

He left the bank and headed north on foot on Railroad Avenue.

As many as a dozen deputies and state police were responding.
